If there is one experience all computer users have it is having a program or programs freeze or crash. When it happens, either we panic and vow never to use a computer again, or we calmly determine the cause and take the necessary steps to bring our computer back to life. Admittedly, it requires knowledge to take the latter approach.
We promise that if you attend the Accessible World Tek Talk training Monday, you will learn how to identify the problem even if you are blind and lose the use of your screen reader. Our presenters will provide instructions on what to do to save your work if a freeze occurs, how to attempt to continue your work without rebooting when a freeze occurs and how to use Narrator to help in these procedures. The presentation will also include an overview and demonstration of Narrator, the basic screen reading utility that ships with Windows XP and Vista, as well as a demonstration of how to use System Restore with Narrator.
