Although shopping online is extremely popular with most computer users, using screen readers to navigate eBay, Amazon and other attractive and feature rich websites makes the task challenging and sometimes nearly impossible. Join us this week in the Accessible World Tek Talk training room where Matthew Bullis, a blind experienced computer user, will share ways he has learned to successfully buy and sell on eBay.
He will explain how to navigate the EBay website as he gives different examples as the pages change to reflect new content. Many examples of item pages will also be included. He will then discuss the different methods of obtaining items, as well as how to keep up with their progress.
Although time will not permit a complete Paypal tutorial, Matthew plans to point out Paypal tips which come in handy as visually impaired users, along with some cautionary words about being sure where you enter your password, and making sure that Paypal is the genuine sender of e-mails you receive.
At the close of his presentation, Matthew promises to share special bidding
tips he has learned during the past seven years as a successful eBay user.
