Toyota's Partner Robot Group is constantly working to improve people's lives through cutting-edge technology. The group is currently working on a project internally known as BLAID, which stands for Blind Aid. This project involves a wearable device that will assist blind people with indoor navigation. In this presentation, we will talk about what we know concerning the project, how other technologies can assist with BLAID's success, and some of the challenges to successfully bringing this concept to reality. We will also look at some of the successes the Partner Robot Group has had in other areas.
