On October 8, 1871, the City of Chicago was victimized by a terrible fire which ravaged this great metropolis.
Ira Fistell, noted Talk Show Host will be discussing the causes and the results of the Fire and taking questions from our audience.
What does Oct 8, 1871 mean to you? If you lived in Chicago that day, you experienced the horror of your city burning around you. The exact cause of the fire was never discovered. No, it wasn’t O’leary’s cow kicking over a lantern in the barn, although her barn was the first building to be destroyed. The city, built of wood, burned for 2 days. There were also 3 major fires not very far away, but only Chicago is famous for it.
Join us for a fascinating look at the famous Chicago fire with Ira Fistell in a Special
