On August 22 at 8 PM Eastern, Jonathan Mosen, Freedom Scientific’s Vice President of Blindness Hardware Product Management, will demonstrate the Plextalk Pocket, which it is distributing in the United States.

The Plextalk Pocket is a powerful media player, capable of playing DAISY content including full support for BARD, Learning Ally, and Bookshare. Its WiFi capabilities mean you can listen to Internet radio and stream podcasts whenever you have a WiFi connection, making it far more than just a player for reading books.

Its DAISY recording capabilities, accessible level meter, and support for stereo recording for external line-in and microphone sources makes this a great tool for students, broadcasters, or anyone who needs high quality recordings.

The PRS Pro software, included only with the Plextalk Pocket from Freedom Scientific, permits editing of DAISY audio on a PC.
