GW Micro, maker of Window-Eyes, recently released a free program called GWSkype, a program that is plugged into Skype™ and makes it accessible to all blind and visually impaired people. "This program became viral, and blind people around the world started using it almost as soon as it was on the market," said Bob Acosta, Chair of Accessible World. Due to its extreme popularity, GW Micro was invited on Tek Talk to demonstrate the capabilities of the GWSkype as well as to discuss future developments.

GWSkype can be used ad-free by Window-Eyes users, and be used with very short advertisements for those who are not running Window-Eyes.
