In 2005, long before access to iTunes was easier for visually impaired people to access than it is now, T&T Consultancy developed J-Tunes - an interface linking the popular JAWS for Windows screen-reader and the iTunes music management system. In 2009, they presented to Accessible World iTunes Version 4, considerably enhancing the basic functionality output from the screen-reader to iTunes.
T&T Consultancy have now just launched J-Tunes Version 5, providing high quality access to the latest release of iTunes, version 9.2. This release of iTunes is essential when transferring material to the newer iPod and iPhone range. They have pleasure in coming back to Accessible World's Tek Talk webinar program to tell you about the new features and how they will be regularly providing new features to the software during 2010. In particular, they have been asked to spend time giving you useful tips and tricks concerning how to use JAWS 11 and to gain the most from the iTunes Store and so the majority of the presentation will focus upon this area of iTunes.
Brian Hartgen, T&T Consultancy's Product Development Manager, will give a live demonstration of J-Tunes including its interaction with the Store. The second part of the presentation will take the form of questions from the audience and Anna Dresner, who has a wealth of expertise in the area of iTunes access and who is the author of books on the subject, will be on hand to answer questions with Brian.
