Accessible World ClassRoom of the Air presents Starting Your Own Business with Ann Parsons and Karen Rose

Have you ever dreamed of having your own business? If so, you are not alone. Perhaps
you've had an idea in your mind for years but have decided the prospect of creating
and running a business would be too time consuming or costly. Advice from others
when contemplating an enormous life change is free for the asking but not always
useful.
On this month's ClassRoom of the Air, Karen Rose and Ann Parsons will talk about
running a business of their own. How does one begin? What sacrifices will you have
to make? Is there a way to test an idea for a potential business before beginning
and how is that accomplished? What should you know about yourself? Are you entrepreneur
material? How creative and innovative must you be? What information should you have
before embarking on starting a new business? Are there hazards or pitfalls you should
look for? How much money should you have set aside to live on during the building
process until it becomes a profitable venture? Are there mentors who can help you
achieve the success you hope for? How can they be located? Does the idea of doing
taxes or developing a business plan intimidate you so much you put your fantastic
idea off for another day. Please don't let your good idea go to waste. During September's
Classroom of The Air, we will discuss small businesses with our two speakers, Ann
Parsons & Karen Rose, both have successful businesses of their own. Karen Rose is
a licensed therapist. In addition to working for others for many years, Karen started
and has maintained her own private practice for over twenty years. It was tough to
make money at first but through persistence and hard work, Karen is now working for
herself.
