During September 2008, Apple (who are world renowned for their range of iPod products
and an Internet Store from where music and movies can be downloaded), made two startling
announcements.
First, they stated that the iTunes software for transferring material to an iPod,
and the vehicle for accessing their Store, contained a level of accessibility for
screen-reader users. Second, the new range of Apple's iPod Nano products gives the
ability for a visually impaired person to have access to audio track titles and menus
through spoken prompts.
